Books of Brilliance is a book website dedicated to helping readers discover great books, find their next read, and stay informed about the authors, series, adaptations, and stories they care about. I created Books of Brilliance because reading has always been a major part of my life. I have read thousands of books over the years, and there is rarely a time when I am not in the middle of several books at once. That experience shapes everything published on Books of Brilliance. Rather than simply telling readers what a book is about, my goal is to offer useful opinions, recommendations, reading guides, and insights from the perspective of someone who genuinely spends a large part of his life reading. A Lifelong Reader and Writer I have been writing professionally and personally since 2012. My academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in English as well as a major in journalism, giving me a foundation in literature, research, reporting, editing, and storytelling. Over the years, I have written for numerous publications and websites, including Daily Knicks, The Examiner, and Excelsior , covering everything from sports and news to books and culture. That combination of journalism and literature ultimately led me to Books of Brilliance. Writing about books gives me the opportunity to combine two of the things I enjoy most: reading and writing. Why I Started Books of Brilliance There are more books being published than any one person could ever hope to read, and finding the right book can sometimes be harder than actually reading it. Books of Brilliance exists to make that process easier. Thousands of Books and Counting Reading is not something I do occasionally for Books of Brilliance. It is part of my everyday life. I have read thousands of books , and I am almost always reading multiple books at the same time. That includes everything from new releases to classics that have been sitting on shelves for generations. My reading regularly takes me across genres, including fantasy, historical fiction, science fiction, mysteries, thrillers, literary fiction, young adult novels, nonfiction, and classics. Reading across so many different genres also gives me a much broader perspective when reviewing and recommending books. A great book does not have to fit into one genre, follow a trend, or be the newest title on a bestseller list.

Sometimes the best recommendation is a book published last month. Other times, it is a novel published fifty years ago that deserves another generation of readers. How Books Are Reviewed and Recommended My goal with every review and recommendation on Books of Brilliance is to help readers make better decisions about what to read. I try to go beyond plot summaries and publisher descriptions by discussing what makes a book work, what type of reader might enjoy it, how it compares with similar books, and whether I believe it is ultimately worth your time. Reading is subjective, and I don’t expect every reader to agree with every opinion on this site. That is part of what makes talking about books fun. A book I love may not work for someone else, while a novel that doesn’t connect with me might become another reader’s favorite book of the year. Reviews on Books of Brilliance reflect genuine opinions rather than an attempt to tell readers what they are supposed to like. When covering upcoming books, release dates, adaptations, and publishing news, I also aim to distinguish confirmed information from rumors or speculation and update articles as new information becomes available. Our Editorial Philosophy Books of Brilliance is built around a simple idea: Recommend books because they are worth reading, not simply because they are popular. Popularity can help introduce readers to great books, but it isn’t the only thing that matters. I want the site to be a place where readers can discover bestselling novels alongside overlooked classics, emerging authors, unexpected favorites, and books they may never have encountered otherwise. More Than Books Books may take up a lot of my time, but they aren’t my only obsession. When I’m not reading or writing, there is a good chance I’m playing basketball or watching it. I’m also a huge New York Knicks fan , which explains why sports writing became an important part of my writing career before Books of Brilliance became my primary focus. Books and basketball might seem like completely different worlds, but I’ve always loved both. Whether I’m deep into a 700-page fantasy novel or watching the Knicks, I tend to get invested. What You Can Expect From Books of Brilliance The purpose of Books of Brilliance isn’t to publish as many articles as possible. It is to create a useful library of book information that readers can return to whenever they need help deciding what to read next. That means continuously reading, revisiting older books, discovering new authors, updating reading guides, following upcoming releases, and sharing the books that I believe deserve your attention.
