Where It All Began Our story starts back in 1997, when Sascha, David and John first joined forces. It was a time of big shifts — Diana and Hutchence, Hong Kong’s handover, and a president in hot water. The Internet was shaking up the world, and we saw a future in it. Fast forward to 2009 — JWGecko officially launched. Built on a decade of collaboration and experience, our goal was clear: lead the way in digital systems for education and compliance, and help our clients grow by listening, innovating, and reducing their risk. John’s digital journey began at New Zealand’s national broadcaster, where he led the charge to bring their news and current affairs online. Today, he leads JWGecko’s innovation efforts — always scanning the horizon for what's next and what our clients need most. With a background in HR and finance, Sascha brings a rare mix of operational insight and customer care. She's hands-on with our clients every day, helping them get the most from our tools and services. David has been building and rebuilding systems with John since 1997 — from Telecom NZ’s Xtra to advanced multilingual CMS platforms. At JWGecko, he’s the engine behind our tech, constantly refining and inventing new tools to meet client needs.
