Week 3 of the NFL preseason is almost wrapped up, as teams around the league make their final evaluations ahead of the roster cut deadline on Sunday, when they must trim their 90-man training-camp rosters to their initial 53-man rosters. With that deadline looming, expect plenty of roster bubble players and cut candidates to get playing time as they make their final cases to make the regular-season roster. Even though the start of the regular season is still two weeks away, there are only two preseason games left as the Detroit Lions take on the Indianapolis Colts and the Chicago Bears face the Tennessee Titans. Friday night's action was highlighted by Tua Tagovailoa showing some improvement under center for the Atlanta Falcons, rookie wide receiver Makai Lemon making his preseason debut for the Philadelphia Eagles, and rookie running back Emmett Johnson continuing to impress for the Kansas City Chiefs. Lemon's debut was lackluster as the rookie came down with three of his five targets for just three total yards. The FBI arrested 35-year-old Daejon Love and 18-year-old Taylor Jamie Chan on Monday in Boise, Idaho, where they were apprehended upon meeting at the Boise Airport. They're facing a pair of federal charges: conspiracy to commit wire fraud and wire fraud, as detailed in a statement released this week by the U.S. Attorney's office that references court documents.
