Purchased Office 365 Home edition, currently have Home Premium installed. Click on Word icon shortcut to launch Word to write a Word document and this error appears: "Windows cannot find 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\WINWORD.EXE" Note that the term Office16 is included in that error message. Similar error message appears when attempting to open a Word document. The computer had MS Office16, it also once had MS Office 15. MS uninstall or change was used to uninstall Office16. However, it's not certain all of MS Office16 was removed. In C:Program Files>Microsoft Office>Office 16 exists with five files dated 2.1.2002. In C:Program Files: Microsoft Office 15 folder exists with two .exe applications including OfficeClickToRun.exe. When I open Uninstall or Change a Program There is no indication of Office365 megabyte size between the date and version number. Should I manually delete those folders and files? 2. Should I then uninstall MS365 Office? 3. Should I then run Win11_24H2_English_x64 upgrade/repair which MS rep sent me? 4. And last, reinstall MS365 Office default, or x64 version or 0365HomePremiumRetail version?
